Captain Albert Ball (1896-1917) was Britain's highest scoring profile fighter pilot during World War One. Ball proved himself to be a natural fighter pilot and was constantly tweaking his plane to achieve greater manoeuvrability. He gained wide-spread public renown for his achievements in the sky, doing battle with such notorious figures as the Red Baron. Ball died in action in May 1917 just prior to his twenty-first birthday. These images attempt to create a journal.
